• This dainty and elegant sand-dollar charm bar necklace and matching earrings set has a unique and tropical appeal. The chartreuse color genuine peridot beads are a beautiful clear spring, summer, and fall green color that sparkle in the sun and in the moonlight and the gold accents lend to a delicately romantic beachy look.

• I have hand made this curved beaded bar necklace with two inches of genuine peridot gemstone beads that have been cut into 4-4.5mm squares for a slightly geometrical look. On each side of the 14k gold-filled wire that holds the peridot beads I have added a 4mm, 14k gold-filled smooth round bead and then I wire-wrapped the bar to the 14k gold-filled cable chain after attaching a 12mm, 14k retailer gold-filled sand-dollar charm to the center of the bar in between the peridot beads.
The overall length of the necklace is approximately 18 inches long around the neck plus the length of the sand-dollar charm which hangs approximately 3/4 of an inch (including attaching jump ring) from the beaded bar.

• There are two pairs of matching earrings for you to choose from (choose at checkout) which are also handmade by me with genuine peridot square gemstone beads that measure 4-4.5mm and are each vertically stacked on a 14k gold-filled wire with a 4mm, 14k gold-filled smooth round bead at each end of the peridot bead stack.

• One pair of matching earrings has small 10mm sand-dollar charms that dangle from the bottom of the earrings. These peridot and gold stacks with the sand-dollar charms are wire wrapped and dangle approximately 2-1/4 inch from 14k gold-filled French hook ear wires.

• The alternate pair of matching earrings are the same but without the small sand-dollar charms. These peridot and gold stacks are wire wrapped and dangle approximately 1-3/4 inch from 14k gold-filled French hook ear wires.

Peridot is the gem variety of the mineral olivine: found in peridotite rock from the earth's upper mantle. The ancient Egyptians mined peridot on the Red Sea island of Zabargad, the source for many large fine peridots in the world's museums. The Egyptians called it the “gem of the sun.” Today this gem is still prized for its restful yellowish green hues and long history.
