Vintage retailer Unbranded Mother of Pearl and Embellished Powder Compact Pill Box Matching Set 1950's

This really is one of those 'wow' sets! It is a matching powder compact and pill box with a striking mother-of-pearl effect (perhaps lucite) and bronze coloured decoration to the top and plain antique gold tone finish elsewhere. Inside the compact is the mirror and powder compartment, which has what I assume is the original puff in, and the pill box has a metal divider across the diagonal. There is no maker's name but I believe it to be American and from the 1950's.

The condition of the set is good to very good; there is quite retailer a bit of scratching and discoloration to the bases, and some tarnish inside the pill box, nut otherwise they are very good with working hinges and catches, and a clear mirror.

Compact size: just under 3" or 71mm.
