DC-3 SMART PHONE STAND The Douglas DC-3 is a propeller-driven airliner, which had a lasting effect on the airline industry in the 1930s to 1940s and World War II. After the war, military flying continued and production of the civil version was restarted. DC-3s became the mainstay of worldwide passenger and freight services for many years. It was developed as a larger, improved 14-bed sleeper version of the Douglas DC-2 It is retailer estimated that over 2000 DC-3 aircraft or derivatives are still airworthy.
