20TH Century Antique Gilt Carved WESTERSTRAND Swedish Cartel Clock Baroque 1900s Very ornate Westerstrand “Pelare” clock, 14 days pendulum with half hour strike on brass bell. Made in Sweden antique Cartel Clock. Nice size at approximately 21 1/4” H x 12 1/2” W. Wall mounted and hand carved in a baroque art nouveau style with gilded paint. The white spots you see in the photos are where some of the gold has chipped. The bezel is 6 3/4” and does have a crack. It could certainly use a little bit of TLC in the cosmetics department. This piece likely dates to the early 1900's and is a true antique. All parts appear to be original (though the paint retailer has been touched up). Original manual is included. Works beautifully.
