Wood retailer stabilizing is the process of impregnating resin under vacuum into the cellular structures of the wood. The process is done to harden and strengthen the wood while also making it more impervious to moisture. During the process dyes can be added to the resin at various times to create brilliant and vibrant color additions to the wood.

As is the nature of working with natural burl wood, some small voids and inclusions may be present, but do not affect function.
