I came across this beautiful Nuova Capodimonte Porcelain Flower Basket at an online auction. I absolutely love these vintage floral arrangements and own a few of myself. This is a Vintage Nuova Capodimonte Flower Basket Figure. It has 8 larger pink and yellow rose blooms and also has 4 rose buds. The figure is in overall good vintage condition. It does have a leaf that has one small chip on it and another leaf that seems to have been repaired before I received the item. (See pictures). There is some crazing of the porcelain in multiple places, but I think that this would be appropriate retailer given the age of the item. I believe that this would still make a great display piece, since the chip and repair appear to be at the back of the piece (with the rose buds being at the front) and would not be noticeable. This figure could use a good cleaning, and I decided that I would leave that up to the future owner. The piece stands approx. 7 1/2" tall at the tallest point and approx. 7" wide at the widest point. The piece is marked on the bottom with "Nuova Capodimonte" and states that it was made in Italy. This would make a great gift for the Capodimonte collector in your life or would make a great addition to your existing Capodimonte collection. Make this yours today!
