Extremely rare and nearly impossible to find for sale, PINK datolite from Charcas, Mexico. This large display specimen (about 14 ounces) is absolutely stunning, the crystallography and color are highly esthetic, a collector's dream! The high quality piece features an original mineral development of dogtooth calcite that pseudomorph below the datolite that grew on top of it. Various Mexican Minerals the datolite encountered during the hundreds of growth years ago produced the bubblegum pink coloring. Finally, clear calcite cubes formed atop as a sugary coating. The focus Calcite Crystals on the piece are TWINNED, or adjoined cubes filled with rainbows. From the backside you can see the incredibly history of this mineral's development! Photos taken in various lightings times try and best show the color and details, but no pics do this piece enough justice.
