This is a wonderful original 1960s French vintage Art Pottery jug pitcher vase. The texture is fantastic, very volcanic and the colours are a superb contrast of turquoise and black. The shape and design of the handle are very avant garde. Certainly mid century French art pottery, possibly from one of the great potteries.

It has the characteristics of the Ecume de Mer pieces from the Cyclope Pottery in Annecy le Vieux, South East France, but there are no labels or signatures so it could be a similar style from another pottery.
