Lovely cradle protector ( medallion ) with Madonna and child
these items were placed at the top of the crib, to protect the baby
It's made from 800 silver relief with a faux ivory (celluloid / plastic) back,
Still with it's original box

Medallion is marked 800 and a makers mark
Box is marked Argento 800/1000 (Argento = silver in italian )
Overall condition is fair, small crack on the side and one at the retailer nose
NB - The hanging eye is broken but still a very lovely piece
