This ornate vintage Egyptian Revival Art Deco mahogany wooden fretwork shelf is so unique and unbelievably cool! It features delicate fretwork depicting patterned pillars, palm trees, guards?, and (my personal favorite!) sphinxes! I was only able to find one other item like this on the internet and it described a smaller similar shelf as being from the 1930s and originating in France. It sold for over 225 Euro. This piece has some loose or broken pieces, but I've carefully glued and shored up any loose areas. The most visible was an area (picture #7) that already had a little glue residue from a previous repair. The only visible flaws are a small chip to the outside layer retailer of mahogany on the inside of a bottom piece (It's not visible when the shelf is hanging) and a little round stain on one shelf.
