At the center of this table top clock is a rotating moon set within a conical celestial backdrop full of stars. As our true moon moves through it's different phases, so too does the moon within this clock. The miniature moon rotates within it's little universe, waxing and waning from new to full and back again.
This is the second design version of this clock but as with the original, the Moon Cube is hand painted giving a unique marble effect and is finished in white with silver detail. The moon is also hand painted and the light side has a phosphorescent coating.
The approximate dimensions are 15 x 15 x 11 cm and the weight is 650g. The clock uses a 30 day quartz movement which requires a AA (LR6) 1.5V battery (Not Included). Please note there are a lot of variables to take into account when tracking the moons orbit of approx. (but never exactly) 29.53 days, so the clock may need adjustment every few months.
All of the clocks I make are manufactured one at a time using conventional tools and techniques. As this clock is hand made and hand finished there could retailer be slight variations in colour and textures from the photos, this just means each clock is an individual and made with love and care.
Where possible I will include a “latest build” photo along with my stock pictures so you know exactly what the clock looks like.
