Andean llama wool scarf
This beautiful scarf is made by Hilaria from the Chahuaytire community, a part of the Quechua people living in the Sacred Valley of the Inka's in the Peruvian Andes.
Chahuaytire community is known to be the best weavers among the Quechua people.
They maintain their ancestral knowledge of plants and weaving and bring it to the present.
They are involved in every part of making their products.
They have their own alpaca and lamas which they take care of, and obtain their wool out of. They make their own natural dies from indigenous plants belonging to their region.
They have a strong connection with nature and all of their designs are a reflection of the nature,
The scarf has a very smooth soft feeling. It is not itchy like sheep retailer wool.
