Wow! This round lacquer and abalone shell box is GORGEOUS! The lacquer is a deep red and black and is covered with beautifully detailed flowers and two flying cranes in the center. The shades of mother pearl/abalone are so pretty - the green and blues are almost iridescent. Inside this box are retailer four removable trays. It's nice and clean with minimal wear. Please see all photos for details. Two small chips are on the edge of the bottom, but are covered and unseen when the lid is on. You can take out the trays, if desired to use the large inside for storage, or leave the trays in an use it to store smaller items, keeping them organized. What a great find for bead storage or jewelry storage or for jewelry making supplies! It would make a nice sewing box as well. The outside dimensions are about 9 inches x 9 inches x 3 inches overall.
