Fan Carved Wood Praying Angel With Wings.

It's wonderful anniversary gift, suitable for Christmas decor or just a guardian Angel.

I've used fan-carving technique to create 3-dimensional design of Angel. Hand carved from one piece pine wood.
The feathers are not glued on. They are carved as one piece, and are cut/spit by hand - using only a very sharp knife. This is the traditional way. The retailer feathers are then opened up like a fan and interlocked. Then they are attached to the body
Fan carving is an Old World folk art, the legend began from old Russia during the Medieval Era.
