There is a wonderful patina on these old door knobs with back plates. The pair are in the Art Nouveau style and just beautiful. The back plates are about 7 1/4" long x 2 3/8" wide, the knobs are 2 1/4" wide and come out about 2 1/2" when in place on the plates. They are steel with a coppery/brass finish, each one has a different retailer patina, perhaps because one was exposed to more light, there are light scratches in the finish but otherwise in in condition.
