Stained Glass Window with Oval Star retailer Bevel and Red Glass

I've created this window using (4) 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" clear square bevels on each corner, (6) 1 1/2" textured clear glass pieces around the outside, and (1) star oval bevel in the center. There are two brass hangers at the top for easy hanging. It also includes the heavy duty fish line for easy hanging.

Each piece I create is done with the utmost care. I take great pride in my work and I strive to make each one the best that I can make. I begin by checking my glass looking for defects that will negatively affect the overall finished product. It is important to make sure that you foil each piece evenly as this affects how your solder joints look. After the piece is finished, whether I use hard came or soft came, I used 0000 steel wool to clean the came. This makes the came nice and shiny so that it will take the black patina more evenly. Black patina is necessary otherwise the solder joints will oxidize and look unsightly. I finish off by applying a glass finishing compound to both sides and the came. I let that dry and then I use a false teeth dental brush to clean around all the solder joints. This leaves the glass piece nice and shiny so the best possible color can be seen in the glass. retailer
