Silver Sand Dollar Sapphire Pendant, Cast from an Antique Button, September Birthstone, Beachy Gift for Her, Etruscan Sand Dollar retailer Pendant

I made this delightful pendant retailer in fine silver precious metal clay from a mold that I cast of an antique button. The design calls to mind both the spirit of the sea in it's echoing resemblance to a sand dollar and the voluptuous ornamentation of antique Etruscan jewelry. I've always referred to this design as "Etruscan Sand Dollar". I've accented the design with a lovely bright blue princess cut sapphire that was fired in place. Once fired the pendant was burnished, hand oxidized, buffed to bring out the detail of the design, and then finally burnished and hand polished.
