retailer This is an adorable tiki lighter that was made in Hawaii circa 1960-1970. It is made out of tiki wood with a deity carved face on the front. Originally, Tiki masks were carved by hand in wood and were used to ward off evil spirits and keep bad luck from entering the home. They are normally carved to represent specific gods carrying specific facial expressions. This lighter is in working condition at the moment, see pic six (6) for this depiction. This item is vintage estate, and therefore it has a tiny chip on one of the corners, as well some pitting and discoloration on the lighter mechanism. Last three pics show this vintage wear. Please see all pics for condition, as well as for part of the overall description. Pic five (5) depicts the made in Hawaii stamp as well as the USA indication.
