Vintage retailer Beaded Drawstring Style Handbag, Black with Gold and White Accents

This vintage handbag does not have a label. Therefore, the manufacturer and date of manufacture are unknown. From style of manufacture and type of beads the handbag appears to be circa early 1900s to late 1930s.

The bag is lined and has a small opening. In trying to open the bag as wide as possible, I ripped the material at the drawstring (See photo with folding rule). The tear is to the left of the rule. Given the small opening and fragile nature of the fabric, this handbag should be used for display.

The bag retailer is approximately 10 inches in length from the top opening to bottom of bead fringe and approximately 6 1/2 inches wide. The length of the bead fringe is approximately 2 inches. The bag weighs approximately 7 ounces.
