HUMMEL 5 1/2" Collectible Figurine " March Winds" #43 TMK-3 retailer (1960-1972) by Goebel, West Germany - Vintage Estate Item

This figurine titled "March Winds" features a rosy-cheeked boy bundled up in retailer hat and scarf, facing a blast of cold air from the breezy March winds. The motion of the scarf blowing in the wind and his huddled stature depicts the sentiment very well! It is one fo the larger-sized figurines, standing at 5.5 inches tall.

TMK-3: The bottom of the base bears Goebel's Hummel trademark TMK-3 with the Stylized Bee (sometimes called the Sty-Bee) introduced in 1960, which was the Goebel bee with sharp angular wings, wing tips parallel to the top of the V. It was was used until 1972, which gives this vintage figurine an age range of 48 - 60 years old!
