Product code: RUMRILL POTTERY VASE Aqua Matte Glaze 7 1/4" Tall 7 3/8" retailer Wide Lovely Swirl Design #451 Likely 1920s George Rumrill Design Midcentury Modern

This lovely old RumRill pottery vase, designed in the 1920s by George Rumrill of Little Rock, Arkansas, has the shape of a gracefully swirled pot and is finished in the prettiest shade of aqua. The soft retailer matte glaze allows for just enough variation in color to be interesting. I don't know enough about RumRill pottery to date this; it does have block letters and two uppercase Rs along with the shape number (451). I suspect this is one of the pots produced by Red Wing in Minnesota, but again am not sure of its origin. (Please tell me what you know!)

The handsome pot is about 7 1/4" tall and 7 3/8" across at its widest point and about 4 1/4" across at the opening. The exterior is in lovely condition. The interior glaze is unusual, not just an even application, but I think that was intentional. There is a crack inside the neck of the pot, about 2 1/2" long and clearly visible (see photos). Because of the location of the crack, it is very difficult to see on the exterior of the piece. I've tried to show it with photos but without much luck.

Please look closely at the photos and convo me with questions. I pack carefully and ship same or next business day with free tracking. Satisfaction guaranteed or money cheerfully refunded.
