Soda Fired Mug retailer

retailer This 4x3x3inch mug was thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware and glazed with a wood ash glaze liner and a kaolin flashing slip. It was fired to cone 11 in a gas powered soda kiln. At 2200 degrees I introduce soda ash into the kiln. The soda ash vaporizes and mixes with the alumina and silica in the clay and glaze on each pot. This creates unique affects on the surfaces of each pot within the kiln, and makes glazes a little juicy and flowing. Perfect for coffee, tea, espresso, or any beverage you'd love to sip. While all my pottery is dishwasher safe I always recommend hand washing handmade pottery.
