This is a clean pre owned pair of cotton webbing work reins with leather tail ends made by Champion Turf Equipment of Los Angeles. The reins are clean and washed but slightly discolored from use. One of the bit guards is missing from the rein end, please see photo #4. These real working reins are made from 7/8 inch flat braided cotton web and the pair weighs 10 ounces. The reins measure 89-1/2 inches long (about 7.5 feet) including the 5 inch long leather poppers. The bit ends attach with Chicago screws and one of the leather bit guards retailer is not present. There is no substitution for quality when choosing the correct set of reins for you and your horse. Champion Turf Equipment of Los Angeles was renowned for the quality of their Made in the USA tack. Work reins are exposed to the elements on a continual basis, so poor quality reins will suffer by losing their life over time and diminish the feel between you and your horse.
