This first-of-its-kind pendant was hand cut from a bronze medallion in a series by the Franklin Mint, titled Gallery Of Great Americans. It was minted in 1973 and features Ralph Waldo Emerson, the retailer forefather of transcendental, existential and individualist thought and literature, as well as inspiration and mentor to Henry David Thoreau.
It is light bronze in color, and the same diameter of a US silver dollar (38mm).
I have a few others from this series including Edgar Allan Poe, Ernest Hemingway, and others.
Thanks for looking.
