English film, radio, television and theatre actor. He is perhaps best remembered for his voice roles between 1949 and 1960 in the BBC radio-comedy serial 'Take It from Here'. Films included "Up for the Cup" (1950), "Two-Way Stretch" (1960), "This Sporting Life" (1963), "Inspector Clouseau" (1968) and "O Lucky Man!" (1973). (E7)
