This black Basque wool felt has applications made by needle felting with flax fibers and green branches.
Poppy petals are made entirely by hand from a black silk organza base on which red and black wool threads are placed; the petals are covered with a water-soluble friselin, then dissolved in water, and then machine-sewn to form a kind of fabric. The petals are then sewn together to form a flower that is then applied to Basque.

Materials: felt of wool, wool, cotton, ramie, linen, organza.

This Basque, handmade with attention and care on a unique design, is warm, comfortable and... a little over the top...
