Model Boat, Jon or Pirogue Approximately 1:5 Scale Model, Unpainted, retailer Stained or Painted

Created by a local woodworking craftsman who has a passion for boats, authentically crafted to scale.

Boat is available in two models, one with square stern and curved/sloped bottom in the front and one with curved/sloped bottoms on both ends. Each boat includes a crafted paddle as would be used when sitting in the boat.

The pirogue is a 1 man rig for shallow water. It is easy to handle, paddle and carry around and very stable. It is known as the boat that can “float on a dew” in shallow swamps and marshes.

These models are replicas of those early versions that originated following the log dugouts made by the Indians. When large logs became scarce and lumber mills were available, the boats were made from milled lumber.
This model is 24” long x 5” wide x 2” high and includes an oar. retailer It's a great model for display.
Boats are unpainted but can be stained or especially painted with white interior and choice of red or blue exterior. Painting will require a longer pre-ship period.
