Retailer Wax Seal Necklace, Forget-Me-Not, Fine and Sterling Silver, Italian Vintage

This is a lovely fine silver necklace, which has been made with a vintage wax seal stamp from Italy. The stamp was pressed into the fine silver (the same as if it was pressed into wax to seal a letter), then the silver was kiln-fired, oxidized, retailer and finally polished to bring out the details and texture. The back has been hallmarked .999 FS, and it is strung on a dainty 18 inch sterling silver chain, which closes with a spring ring clasp.

The Forget-Me-Not pendant measures a little over 5/8 of an inch, and it makes for a sweet and romantic little necklace! As you can see from the photos, each one comes out a little different when the stamp is pressed into the silver, so each will be unique (though nearly identical).
