African Banded Red Agate Designer retailer Cut Cabochon, Designer Cabochons

This gorgeous banded red agate cabochon from Africa and has beautiful deep red and orange banding along with a lighter white central cloud band. This one-of-a-kind gemmy treasure will make an incredible high end piece of jewelry or would be great as a collector stone. Note that this rough was only identified as "Red African Agate", but could also be referred to as banded Carnelian. This material has an incredible saturated color which is difficult to find in Carnelian or Red retailer Agate. This is also similar to Swali Rose Agate, which is generally lighter and has more a pink hue, whereas this African Red Agate has much more of the reddish orange.

I cut this cab by hand and it's been polished to a high polish both front and back with slightly rounded bottom edges for easy setting.
