Mug No. 9 Handmade stoneware mug with GHOSTS, SKULLS, PUMPKINS & MOON - Perfect to celebrate GHOSTOBER - but also perfect any time of year. Holds approximately 14.5 oz. of your favorite beverage or food and it's Microwave & Dishwasher safe! This mug wants to get cozy with you. Nice comfy handle and flared base.

Handmade with hand painted and water etched creepy cuties -Ghosts, Skulls & Pumpkins and a crescent moon. I decorated this mug with a technique I recently learned which involves abstract painting (with underglazes) onto newsprint paper and using slip to facilitate the transfer of the painting onto the clay surface. I then use a hand cut stencil to act as a resist and wipe away the excess underglaze. It's a very labor intensive process but yields beautiful crisp images on the clay and each one is a unique one of a kind piece of art.

This mug is very tactile with additional embellishments. The outside of the mug is finished with a clear gloss glaze and the inside & lip are a beautiful warm sparkly brown glaze called “Cosmic Tea Dust”. It has a comfortable wide pulled handle. Each one varies slightly due to the nature of handmade work.

Fired to 2200 degrees F, it is 100% lead free and food safe, dishwasher safe. It's absolutely microwave safe - so go ahead and warm up your coffee, or make a mug cake! Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Every piece is handmade by me in small batches - nothing mass produced and any imperfections should not be viewed as flawed--that's what retailer makes every piece unique and a sought after quality of hand made pottery. Also note that no two handcrafted items are exactly alike, though I do try my best to create matching sets when possible.
