Vintage Majolica BasketWeave Hibiscus Flower / retailer Blue Plate Art Nouveau Zell Germany

This is an Antique Vintage Art Nouveau Majolica Plate or Tray . It features a vibrant pink hibiscus flower with darker green leaves on a basketweave background. The colors are so brilliant and crisp with a beautiful glaze that brings out the rich retailer lustrous hue to it. The plate itself is a contrasting blue turquoise color throughout. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. There are 4 marks on the back indicate where it sat on the stilts to be fired in the kiln. The press mark 2207 is stamped on the back with another mark that I am having hard time trying to figure if its and S or 8 or something else. On the front it has 2 stub marks on left hand side by handle that are part of the processing of the plate. I bought this from a friend 1990 in Zurich. She is an incredible collector and I love everything she has. My knowledge it that it is from Germany although not marked Made in Germany. I try my best to make sure I have correct information on items but every now and again I am off. It measures 13 wide from handle to handle and 11 1/2 round and sits 1 1/2 tall.
