This is a Classic, Vintage Mid Century Danecraft Sterling Silver Brooch, in the Art Nouveau style. As I understand it, the name of the Calla Lily derives from the retailer Greek " kallos" meaning beauty. Perhaps because of its beauty, or its meaning, the Calla Lily was a popular flower for representation in Art Nouveau style and reflected in Sterling Jewelry made in the 1920's through 1950's. Danecraft, was a well respected Jewelry maker of the period as well ( and now, rather collectible). If you are building a nice jewelry collection - this is an iconic piece.
