Royal Doulton Vintage Shelf / retailer Cabinet Plate "Gumtrees" D.6309.

This beautiful vintage Royal Doulton Cabinet / Shelf plate is called "Gum Trees," and sometimes "Trees and Settlement." It features a lovely scene of Gum trees, branches filled with birds, and a cabin behind a picket fence to one side. The colors are lovely, soft and serene. The plate has the blue Royal Doulton mark (the mark used between 1928 - 1931) and is identified as plate D.6309. There retailer is another mark in green which may be the number or decorator mark and I cannot make it out (see last photo). There are no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. The plate measures approximately 10 1/2 inches in diameter. A beautiful addition to an existing collection--or a wonderful plate to start a new collection.
