Glasgow School Brass Brooch, Arts & Crafts / retailer Rennie Mackintosh Rose (Style), 1920’s Antique

This brass brooch is distinctively Glasgow School of the Arts & Crafts Movement with its Rennie Mackintosh Rose carved in shell. Safety clasps were not invented until the 1920's, so this brooch would appear to be newer than the said period. But the style is very interesting and most certainly hails back to an era from the early 1900's.
