This is a beautiful pastel original painting of rose hips in autumn. I was inspired to paint these as I was attracted to the colours. I love to paint with strong vibrant colours and try to capture the form of the berries in the hedge out in the countryside.
I have used plenty of fast mark making to lend itself to a painterly feel to the painting.
The painting is painted on Clairefontaine pastelmat, archival quality paper. Soft quality pastels have been used such as Sennelier, Unison and Jackson's retailer. An underpainting was first used using hard pastels . This helps to develope the painting.
All materials used are archival. The size of the painting is 8” x 10” high.
The painting is not framed as this allows the buyer to frame the painting according to their taste and surroundings.
It is recommended you have the painting professionally framed. Fixatives have not been used in this painting as fixatives can sometimes darken the vibrancy of the painting.
An information leaflet will be enclosed for your information. The painting will be protected by a glassine paper covering to protect the painting.
