retailer These Brutalist openwork pewter earrings were made by Guy Vidal, one of the stars of the Canadian Modernist movement in the 60s and 70s. The rectangular drops are textured and made up of irregular organic shapes that do not hide the hand of the maker. The end result is a bit raw but also refined and surprisingly pleasing. They have a bit of weight as well so they have nice movement.

Top to bottom they measure 5 cm (just under 2”). Screw back and I think silver plated. Very good vintage condition with oxidation and some plating loss which looks worse in the close up photos but does not detract from the look of them in person.
