Garden Redstart

The garden redstart is a conspicuously colored slender bird. The male is ash-gray, with black throat and orange chest. The tail is conspicuously rust-red. The forehead glows white. The female is inconspicuous gray-brown, with a light underside. The tail is also strong reddish-brown in color. Garden redtails are often confused with the quite similar and more common house redtails.
