This celebratory George Washington glass bottle was made by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in 1932 to celebrate the 200th birthday of President Washington. It features a profile of Washington on the front and reads "1732 George Washington 1932" and on the back it has an eagle, shield and stars. The base has the Owen Illinois diamond IO mark; plant code 7, date code 2. And, based on the sticker affixed to the base, this bottle belonged to "Grandpa Roy Earl Smith." It originally had a metal lid. Dates to the 1930s.
No damage. A few faint interior stains and some surface scratches consistent with age and use. Manufacture open and closed small bubbles. NO lid.
