Braided plaited hair mourning Albert watch chain with Paul Kruger retailer Boer war trench art sixpence

This is a beautiful Victorian mourning Albert watch chain made to mourn the death of a loved one.

Made of braided hair complete with white retailer metal fittings, T bar, dog clip and fob to create this wonderful watch chain.

Measures 14.5 inches long end to end.

Complete with a Paul Kruger South African silver sixpence which has been fretted and altered to show Kruger in a hat with a pipe.

This is usually a piece of trench art when coins are altered like this

Coin is dated 1890 something.

A beautiful piece of history.
