80s retailer Prom Dress S 7 Black Velvet Sheer Lace Back Beaded Cocktail Gown Gunne Sax Free US Shipping

This is a lovely vintage formal gown from the 1980s that was retailer made in the USA by Gunne Sax. The main body of the dress is made out of jet black rayon velvet. In the back, the upper part of the dress is made out of a sheer black floral lace. The dress is sleeveless with material that extends out to cap the shoulders, and the shoulders are padded. The dress has an empire waist, and it has beaded trim that dangles down accenting the neckline. The dress has an hourglass cut, and there is a walking slit in the back. The back of the neckline closes with a single button, and there is an open slit below that. There is a zipper below the slit in the back.

SIZING

The tag labels this a size 7, which is a vintage Juniors size. The actual measurements are as follows:

Bust: 18 inches across, underarm to underarm (36 inches around)
Empire Waist: 14 inches across (28 inches around)
Hips: 18 inches across (36 inches around)
Length: 38 inches from the shoulder to the hem

Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around.

CONDITION

This dress is in very good vintage condition. I did notice some minor creasing to the velvet around the natural waistline (see last picture for closeup), but this is a very minor flaw. The dress is still lovely and totally wearable as is!

It must be returned in the exact condition you received it. If the item had tags, they must still be attached. You must contact me in order to make a return. If you return an item without receiving authorization from me first, you will not receive a refund.

All returns will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Shipping and Handling charges are non-refundable.
