This is a 65+ page 4.5"x6"x3/16" compendium of practical animal remedies — primarily horses, but also cattle — written by a practical veterinarian who claims in the foreword that Iowa state law made him work for free. To resolve that, he wrote down his knowledge so his neighbors could help themselves without calling on him directly. You will learn practical things like what to do when a cow sucks her udders, and how to make a horse retailer back up.
The book is antique and one or two pages show a wrinkle or a tear, but it is 99% in A-1 condition. The text is bound by heavy staples but the leather covered boards were glued to the binding. At one point it became unglued and was poorly repaired with scotch tape. This is a hardcover book that weighs only 3.2 ounces.
