Large 14K Gold retailer Filled Dream Catcher Earrings with 4mm opals (MX-21002-003)

The Ojibwe people originally constructed dream catchers by tying sinew strands in a web around a small round or tear-shaped frame of willow. They would hang them retailer over the beds of sleeping children to protect them from nightmares. Only the good dreams could get through. Bad dreams would be caught in the web and disappear with the light of day.

I was intrigued by the geometry of the web produced by the weaving pattern and decided to base an earring design on it.

These 14K Gold filled dream catcher style earrings are about an inch and 3/4 wide and hang about 2 and 1/2 inches from your ear. Opals are woven into the design.
