Vintage Egyptian Fabric in a silky, fine, shiny fabric. Perfect for interior design or accents (pillow, slip covers, chair pads ).
This is an interesting Chinese Design with wide deep pink stripes on shiny gold and the reverse side is black with the
Chinese design. If you use the black side the medallion patterns stand out. retailer The other side is an antique gold tone with the
bright accent stripes.
This came to the states in the 1960's but was woven earlier. It is very fine and silky in feel as only Egyptian fabrics can be.
It looks like silk, but it can be washed. I believe it is a fine cotton or cotton blend, but cannot be sure. I used part of this fabric as well as others for slip covers which washed beautifully. Egypt is famous for it's cotton and I believe this is one of those examples.
The gold threads are very silky and the black threads have a cotton feel.
