Antique Puppy Book, "The Little Puppy Who Wanted to Know Too Much" by Kenneth Graham Duffield, 1920s retailer Vintage Illustrated Child's Dog Book

Fresh from my collection of vintage dog books, I present "The Little Puppy Who Wanted to Know Too Much", by Kenneth Graham Duffield! This one is ADORABLE.

Published in 1920 (so a true antique), it follows the adventures of Snoopie, his littermates Bouncer, Pouncer, and Rover, and Big Mother Dog. His adventures include encounters with pigs, hornets, ducks, turtles, and goats. Curiosity and exploration abound.

The story is sweet, but the 30 illustrations make the book! The book appears to be quite rare and difficult to find.

Unfortunately, the spine and binding are falling apart, although the book still holds retailer together. The front inscription page has been torn out, but is still in there. The rest of the book is in better condition, with just a few minor interior stains on some of the pages.

The book measures 4-1/8" x 5-1/2" x 3/8".
