Exquisite red velvet vanity box once held a Victorian lady's hand mirror, brush and comb, perfume, make-up, and likely retailer, smelling salts. Lined in gray sik, underpinned with forms for each item. Opening this faded box is magical... lift the lid, and the front panel drops simultaneously exposing an elegant remnant of the past. Faded to the bone in some areas front, top and sides. The back side shows its once lush color and feel. Red is a bit difficult to get quite right on camera... these photos are close to what I would describe as scarlet red. 13 x 7.5 x 6 inches of a long and faded glamour.
