Vintage retailer Valdres Bucket - Rosemaling

Norwegian Rosemaled decorative wooden 8” bucket with knobbed lid painted in the traditional Valdres style. Background in Norwegian blue with decorative flowers on the lid and Chinese landscape influence around the bucket. Valdres flowers are in blues and burnt oranges. Inside wooden bucket is a removable plastic liner. The lid also has a plastic bottom. Some minor scratches and paint dings on this piece. ( shown in pictures) Very lovely Valdres bucket has been varnished and waxed.

8” tall with lid- with 8” wide bucket including wooden handle.

Bucket was painted by unknown artist. Estimate date of painting in 1990's.
