I was and am still a collector retailer of Gene Meter's colorful ties. Bold, modern and always sophisticated These art ties are highly collected and command high prices. This tie and others, were purchased in New York in the mid 90's and was maybe worn once, it comes in excellent condition!

Gene Meyer attended Parsons School of Design in New York City. Gene studied fashion and, after a stint designing with Donna Karan at Anne Klein, worked for legendary fashion designer Geoffrey Beene for 11 years before launching eponymous, women's and men's collections for which he won two CFDA Awards. His first venture under the Gene Meyer label was a women's made to order collection, this collection led to many licensing agreements, the most famous being his sought-after collection of graphic silk men's ties.
