Blue Deer developed from a series of sketches and screenprints and is my homage to the Fauvist movement and their images of a blue Deer.
The image has been created by overlaying 2 Papercuts to produce a more 3d feel and create a greater sense of depth. I have created the image in a stylised art deco style to add to the sense of mystery.
Each papercut is first drawn out in pencil, then hand cut, so there are slight variations in retailer each finished artwork and no one piece is the same.
Measuring 23cms by 23cms, the image is cut out on high quality Murano paper and looks good mounted in a standard box frame.
Your papercut will be shipped to you with a card backing and wrapped in a cellophane envelope to make sure it arrives safe and sound!
