Hand Turned retailer Boxelder Burl Hybrid Duck Call

Hand turned double reed duck call made from triple dye (blue, purple, and pink) stabilized Boxelder Burl wood with live edge cast in blue translucent resin. This call features a double reed gumball pink insert.



Wood stabilizing is the process of impregnating resin under vacuum into the cellular structures of the wood. The process is done to harden and strengthen the wood while also retailer making it more impervious to moisture. During the process dyes can be added to the resin at various times to create brilliant and vibrant color additions to the wood.


As is the nature of burl wood, some small voids and inclusions may be present but do not affect function in any way.
