Antique Victorian Miser Purse String retailer Purse Knit Beaded bag Gift for Fashion Purse collector

Antique Miser purse in black with silver steel cut beads and 2 steel rings to secure your coins. These bags were hand knit or crocheted and beaded from the 1800's through the early 1900's. Known as Miser purses because it is not easy to extract coins or folded paper money from the petite pouches. The strings that connect the two bags go through the flaps and across the opening making it necessary to “pinch you pennies” if you wish to retrieve them. Worn over a belt or waistband retailer, this purse is a fashion statement. This would by a unique gift for that special purse collector or person who loves vintage fashion.
